Coaching Approach

Picture
"Recognizing that you are not where you want to be is a starting point to begin changing your life."
-- Deborah Day
Karin partners one-on-one with her clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that raises their self-awareness and inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.  Through this process, clients are able to find their own solutions, develop their own skills and increase their confidence.

She takes a whole-person approach (meaning she understands the life context in which her client is operating) and helps her clients to:
  • Clarify their goals
  • Understand their true motivation for change
  • Craft a plan for reaching key milestones
  • Structure experiments
  • Address likely blockers or obstacles
  • Hold themselves accountable for action
  • Evaluate the outcomes

In addition to one-on-one sessions, in certain situations Karin will suggest that she get input from some of her client's key stakeholders and/or that her client partake in assessments (e.g., personality, style, role preference).

All coaching conversations are kept confidential.

Note: Coaching is different from therapy, consulting, mentoring or training - this is a helpful outline of the differences.
